| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 24, 2009 Bottle. Poured a hazy yellow color with a white head and minimal lacing. A nice aroma of clove, banana, and spices, but the flavor did not match the scents. The beer had a medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation, and an abrupt finish. Overall, this is an okay beer. I like to taste a bit more of the spices. I would try this again, but there are better hefeweizens. joshwilfong (797), Cleveland, Ohio, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 22, 2009 On tap at the Hofbräuhaus Pittsburgh. Nose is weak but has the typical banana clove aroma with notes of wheat but also some sulfury tang. Cloudy pale amber with white lacing head. Medium watery body with medium carbonation. The taste is fine and is done well, it’s just not that exciting compared to others. A bit one-dimensional with no overtly defining characteristic. I hope that the version brewed on site in Pittsburgh will be a bit better.
