Pours a cloudy orange/gold with a head that diminishes completely. Aromas are of bubblegum, lemon and sweet malt. Hints of vanilla, with mild wheat and hops. Flavours are quite malty. Some caramel sweetness but not too prominent. Medium hop and wheat tones. Some banana and lemon fruit with hints of bubblegum. Quite a subdued wheat beer, but not bad.

As a Hefe weizen, it is decent. Has some interesting citrus tastes and a lot of fizz, but lacks the thickness I prefer in an unfiltered wheat beer. Considering this is a Wheat Ale, it’s not bad, don’t refuse a free glass, but it does taste much like your average mass-produced lager. They could be pulling the wool over our eyes and making a pretty penny.

Draft at Hofbrau Beer Garden in Panama City Beach. Hazy yellow in the glass with a creamy white head that has some lasting a good lace. Nice banana, bread, and clove aromas. The flavor is much the same with wheat, banana, and clove. Light body and a light clove aftertaste.

50cl bottle, pale and clear orange colour (not hazy like most of hefeweizen), some sediments in the bottom of bottle, good foamy white head, wheat aroma with balanced citrus and yeast notes, sweet flavor, fresh citrus finish, strange but pleasant weizen (more similar to belgian hoegaarden than the others german weisse I’ve tried)
