The nose is close to the typical hefeweizen fare, lactic, nearly chalky, some gluey banana, a bit spicy too. The taste is quite lactic, yoghurty really. Some lemon and banana, dry, unimpressive overall because of some light acidic notes that don’t fit at all. Ok really but not one of my all-time favorites. inbirraveritas (38), Budapest, Hungary

Hazy pale amber colour, medium and quickly collapseing head, average carbonation.
Smell of yeast/banana/fruit. Sharp/light-sourish taste. Fruity, watery flavour, in the middle mild mouthfeel, medium body.
Light-bitter finish.
Good drinkable, average Hefeweizen. weihenweizen (34), West Virginia, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 25, 2009 bottle - pours light amber with a white dissipating head. Initial aroma was of vanilla and charcoal, esters were almost undetectable - improving after a few minutes though. Initial flavor was of lightly burnt biscuit with only a hint of citrus which finally came through after a few minutes. Both aroma and flavor became more marked as I drank. I expected a bit more from this one. Elwood (677), Leesburg, Virginia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 25, 2009 Serving: Draft.
Appearance: Cloudy, deep yellow color with a foamy white head.
Aroma: Banana, spice, clove, and yeast. Fairly standard hefeweizen notes.
Flavor: Mirrors the nose with the banana and spice but with more yeast character and notes of dust, wheat, and just the slightest hints of earth and metal.
Palate: Medium carbonation with a light mouthfeel and a short finish.
Overall: I fairly solid example of the style.
