Commercial Description:
Less alcohol but yet full in taste. The Pittsburgh Hofbräu premium lager has been brewed lighter in body and flavor to respond to the American taste. Similar to other light lagers but much fresher and more flavorful.

Draught at BrewPub: Aroma of pale malts, grains, and a hint of grass. Poured pale yellow in color with a small, white head that lasted throughout. Clear. Sparkling. Flavor is slightly sweet. Tastes of grains and a little grass. Light body. Thin, watery texture. Average carbonation. Grassy finish. Not good.

This poured a plae yellow color with a big white head. Aroma was almost nonexistant but a little grassy. Flavor was mainly grassy with some surprising adjunct tastes as well. Not good.

As good as any other light beer out there, only difference is this is fresh. Aroma was pretty weak, but could pick up some subtle vegetable notes. Pour was a nice light crisp gold with a 3 finger white head. Taste was like lightly carbonated seltzer water with a hint of grass and cereal. Extremely drinkable and good for what it is.

Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a dark straw yellow color with a medium sized white head. The aroma was faintly dry and grainy. The flavor was dry, malty and grainy with a light citrusy undertone. The finish was long and grainy. Surprisingly tasty for a light beer. Solid.

Some sulfur on the aroma, otherwise smells a little like wet fresh cut grass. Has a mild hay flavor and I would say more hay or grass than the regular hofbrau lager. Good carbonation and easy to drink. Has better carbonation than the other beers on tap here. Not a bad session brew. Nice for a lager lover. Low alky makes many of these possible. Overall, like-able and friendly.
