Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular.
A malty pale golden beer with hints of banana and pineapple. An excellent balance of aroma and bittering hops followed by a long dry hoppy finish.

Deep gold with a minimal white head. A light beer with some hay then a huge hoppy bitterness, rather too bitter to actually be refreshing. However, the beer grows on you as some honey & citrus flavour develops; this leaves a slightly syrupy mouthfeel by the end.

Enjoyed this good local ale, excellent tasting and better than Summer Lightning which i’ve also tried, nicer overall texture and flavour and a well balanced finish.

Cask@GBBF2008. Ambery golden colour, not much head. Aroma is caramel malts, rubber, some yeast and very bitter fruity notes. Flavour is candy, fruity hops, nectar and rich sweet wooden notes.

Handpulles cask at JDW Stanmore. Badged as Hogs back HOP, I assume that I am rating the right beer? Pale gold in excellent fresh condition with lively white head, nobody could fail to enjoy this pint. Although very pleasant, it does not live up yo it’s name, being a malt accented beer. A short dry finish and a good mouth feel. Not bad!
