yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark Oct 18, 2007 From tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brown with a white lacing head. Roasted malt aroma. Sweet and slight fruity flavoured on top of a coffee and roasted malt base. Gives a slight roasted, coffee and hoppy bitterness in the finish. Nice and light to medium bodied. Nice brew. stouby (1533), Holbaek, Denmark Oct 11, 2007 Draught at No. 5.
Unclear brown with a small head. Aroma light/moderate malty (cocoa, roasted). Flavor moderate sweet, light bitter. Medium body. Papsoe (10359), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 26, 2007 (On tap) Hazy, dark brown with an orange hue and a decent but a little rough beige head. Discreet aroma of roasted malt and a whiff of butter. Medium body, lightly sweet, roasted malt and again these not so pleasant buttery accents while I don’t really pick up any cocoa notes. The finish is surprisingly bitter though - perhaps that’s where the cocoa comes in? Mostly reminds me of a twisted Brown Ale. 260907
