Sweet and slight fruity flavoured on top of a coffee and roasted malt base. Gives a slight roasted, coffee and hoppy bitterness in the finish. Nice and light to medium bodied. Nice brew. stouby (1957), Holbaek, Denmark

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Sep 26, 2007 (On tap) Hazy, dark brown with an orange hue and a decent but a little rough beige head. Discreet aroma of roasted malt and a whiff of butter. Medium body, lightly sweet, roasted malt and again these not so pleasant buttery accents while I don’t really pick up any cocoa notes. The finish is surprisingly bitter though - perhaps that’s where the cocoa comes in? Mostly reminds me of a twisted Brown Ale. 260907
