Commercial Description:
Editor's note: The bottled version has been brewed at Herslev Bryghus.

Danish: Vores julebryg dufter og smager af hygge og højtid. Den er brygget generøst med en kombination af flere slags malt, humle og vand. Desuden tilsat appelsinskal og lakrids.

English: Our christmas brew has an aroma and flavour of the good times associated with yule tide. It is brewed from pilsener malt, two different Munich malts, colour malt, Target bittering hops, Crystal aroma hops, dried orange peel, licorice extract and a Belgian ale yeast.

(On tap) Unclear dark brown with an orange glow. Delicate, creamy, fine structured, beige head - almost Guinness-like and velvety. Unfortunately it collapses rather fast. Very fruity aroma with some refined esters of almonds and marzipan. Very soft body with notes of citrus - mandarin - but at the same time a warmer, more christmasy flavour structure of dried fruits and honey. Lightly vinous finish almost without any bitterness. You also get a glimpse of some burned notes from the dark malt. The warming alcohol is present, but yet deceptively well hidden. A bit low in carbonation, but the brewer promises, that this will be fixed. A very promising and christmasy brew, yet light and very quaffable. 271005

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a hazy, orangey brown with a dense, yellowish head. Spicy aroma with some licorice. Medium body sweet notes of fruit - oranges in particular - spices and also dried fruit. Unfortunately there’s a vague, underlying tartness which I don’t believe is intentional. 7/3/6/3/12= 3.1 090507

Re-rate 03-11-2007 [Thanks to yespr] Draught @ Den Tatoveret Enke. Small fizzy beige head that mostly diminished. Fair display of lacework. Very dark hazy brown. Aroma was very Christmas spicy like, with other notes of caramel, toasted malt, fruit, toffee, even cookie and a hint of chocolate. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Moderated sweet with a hint of bitter notes. Fruity and roasted malty Christmas spice like finish.

Bottle. Small beige fizzy head that mostly diminished. Spar lacing. Particles in flow. Amber color. Rye bread, caramel, fruit, toast, orange peel, liquorish, cookies. Moderated malty sweet flavor with light toasted bitterness. Medium bodied with an average carbonation. Light sweet finish. 10-05-2007: 3.2

Bottled, thanks Papsoe! Clear deep ruby, small creamy head. Fairly sweet and caramelly. Solidly malty with rounded mouthfeel. Interesting estery raspberry flavour. Finishes with low bitterness. Good, but not the most complex beer.
