Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular.
Also available bottled (not to be confused with Golden Pale Ale, which is actually the bottled version of Black Country Bitter).
An 18ct gold, golden ale with subtle yet fragrant hop aromas, a moreish gentle sweetness and an almost citrus like pleasant bitter finish. Brewed using the finest English Maris Otter malts and choicest Fuggles, Golden Glow is a thirst quenchingly refreshing beer.

Bottle from Sainsburys. Golden in colour with a big, off-white head and plenty of carbonation. Aroma of subdued citrus and creamy malts. Flavour was sweet, with a touch of butterscotch, chewy malt and a slightly dry finish. A bit lifeless.

Sweet with a hint of toffee. Light golden colour with a thin head. Taste of fudge with a bitter aftertaste. Not too bad.

Quite refreshing nice beer, 50p a bottle at Sainsbury’s bargain!

Bottle from Sainsbury. Gold, thin ivory head. Some hop on aroma. Some diacetyl to be honest. Yep, definitely buttery. Not sure if its intentional, but I don’t like butter in my beer. Yep, way too buttery.

Cask, The Griffin Inn, Shustoke. Bright and yellowy with a nitro-like creamy softness. Drinks like water. Mildly sulpurous aroma with polite lemony hints. Straw, Malted Milk and oats. Nowhere near enough hop zing to satisfy. Clings with tedious mushy biscuit. Empty. (50p bottle rate). So subtle it’s not there. Butter and alcohol. Pastry-flavoured lager.
