Commercial Description:
Our version is amber colored and possess a modest bitterness and clean aroma. Crafted in the traditional Bavarian manner, it strongly resembles the Oktoberfest Biers served at the fall festival in Munich.

Bottle - From a set of Historical American Beers sold at Sams Club. A fairly crisp beer that tasted similar to the Bock with a caramel aroma and malty body.

12oz bottle. Metallic smell and taste with some caramel malt in there. Sparkling medium amber hue with a small off-white mostly disappearing head that left no lace. Flavor seems confused, lager or amber ale, dosen’t mesh well here. Lively palate and short finish. It’s crap.

part of sampler. 12 oz bottle. reddish amber pour, minimal oily head. aromas are strong of lemon rind, limestone, and a stainless steel minerality that compares only to that of the typical new zealand sauv blanc. there are hints of styrofoam as well in the aroma that carry over to the flavor. other nuances are of strong tart citrus peels and light clove. the palate and finish are both muted and quite short. there’s no body here, it’s a very light beer, and fairly empty in the middle. it’s a light easy drinker. more impressive than the other ales in the sampler.

Winter variety pack. Clear amber color, light head, mellow flavoring. Strikes me as an average amber. Not zippy enough to be a Marzen. Still, drinkable.

Malty smell, amber orange color, slight foamy head that seems to last for a while. A little bit too carbonated... it seems like most of the beers in the "beer of America" set are that way. Flavor is unremarkable, slightly bitter on the finish.

A clean and crisp Maerzen with moderate maltiness and restrained bitterness. This beer is nothing to get excited about and is far from complex, but it’s somewhat simple malt backbone is pleasing and easily drinkable.

Amber body with minimal beige head. Faint notes of caramel and wet hay. Watery. Flavor is BMC swill.

12 fl. oz (US) bottle from a gift set of historical American beers. This one pours a nice looking honey-amber with a little head the dissipates soon after. I noticed a delicate whiff of malts. There was a medium mouth feel and a sweet flavor. It was very nice but it didn’t taste like other Marzens I have had. It was more like a honey lager. So by itself, it was nice.
