| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Apr 6, 2007 Bottle. Pours a clean amber in color, with a pale white head. The flavor and aroma are both lacking compared to other examples of the style. Fairly bland in flavor, a bit of hops and very little in the way of malt. jonwayne4883 (401), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 20, 2006 Bottle. Caramel malt aroma. Reddish brown with moderate head. Vanilla cream flavor - malt doesn’t come out as much in the taste as I’d like. No hops. Bland. Aurelius (2655), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 2, 2006 Sweet caramel malt aroma with light diacetyl and vanilla cereal. It went downhill from there. Bronze, with a webby tan head. I like the idea of the label, but it was done in some wierd paper that made you think that it was half of a bumper sticker. At times, an unpleasant bitterness - like it was oversparged. Acidic, tannic, nutty sweet, cereal flavors. Aftertaste goes a little vanilla, and the bitterness just hangs around way too long for a marzen. A wierd artificiality in the finish on the tip of the tongue. Medium-light body. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 2, 2006 Part of the Historical Beers of America "toolbox" 12 pack - picked up at Publix in Tallahassee, Fl - Killearn - 12 oz bottle. Medium to dark copper pour, thin, snow white head. Faint, sweet aroma - akin to overripe fruit. Some caramel in the flavor and a bit of ripening vegetables. Slighlty artificial tasting overall though. Mouthfeel is slightly sticky. Like most oithers in this sampler, metallicizes near the end.
