Brown colour with light tan head.
Elegant, almost subtle cocoa and coffee aroma. Fluffy mouthfeel, with subtle, bit grainy flavours from milk chocolate, cocoa and tad vanilla. Pretty light in body and overall feel. Really elegant beer with small nuances. Low bitterness.

Dec 21, 2009 (Bottle at Bishops Arms SoFo, Stockholm) Poured almost black and clear with very tiny head. Aroma contained lot of chocolate and some roastedness. Palate was medium bodied and dry with low carbonation. Flavours were cocoa, chocolate, malts, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste contained mostly chocolate.

Brown color; small head. The aroma is chocolatey and coffeish. The mouthfeel is quite weak, with very light sourness, and this is a pity, because the flavor is not bad, with a very pleasant chocolate; very light vanilla too; as the body is weak, the final is a bit short. Good, but it could be better with some more body.

Dec 11, 2009 Murky almost brown with a small tan head. Strong mocha aroma, tons of vanilla and rum, ripe plumb and a hint of vegemite...
Palate is smooth at first, but when the sweetness dissipates, it becomes almost harsh coffee and leaves some dry cocoa feel. Similarly, the flavours start with a sweet chocolate/rum/dark fruit and finish more towards the coffee vegemite thing. Wonderfully complex and drinkable.

Dec 7, 2009 Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of malt, over ripe fruits, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, alcohol, and metal as well as light notes of milkchocolate. A bit too simple for my taste - more like a Barley Wine than a chocolate porter.

Dec 3, 2009 33 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a small redish glare with a small off-white head. Aroma is dark malty and light chocolate. Chocolate and vanilla flavoured, light roasted. Dark malty and vanilla flavoured into the finish. Smooth malty lasting impression.

Nov 17, 2009 Bottle. Black with small crema head. Caramel malt, coffee, cocoa and heaps of vanilla on the nose. The chocolate is pronounced and quite bitter and separate from the malt sweetness. Surprisingly savoury - it really could work with a pie.
