bridge (659), Sydney, Australia Sep 27, 2007 A very pale hazy yellow with a small white head. Delicate aroma with some floral white wine notes and grassy Saaz that becomes more evident on tasting (especially in the finish). A good quenching drink for a warm early spring day, with a moderate bitterness that somehow seemed to increase as I reached the bottom of the glass. Overall I found it to be a reasonable drop, quite middle of the road.
Muggus69 (214), Sydney, Australia May 28, 2008 330ml bottle, served chilled. Pale golden body, slight haze, fluffy white head. Biscuity malt background, with a good hit of grassy citrus Saaz aroma.Carbonation is kept reasonably low, clingy texture, sharpness of hops comes through the dryness of the body. Solid hop presence, lemon rind, pepper and grass, a touch biscuit malt comes and goes, lingering metallic bitterness. Didn’t mind this, one of the better Aussie pils. madquacker (485), Canberra ACT, Australia Jan 4, 2008 Poured a cloudy yellow (not the clear Bohemian pils I’m used too) with little to no head. Taste of citrus up front (like an Amercian pale ale), lemon in the middle and then salty at the back. Not very balanced, but interesting. MBison (376), Southern Highlands, Australia Dec 9, 2007 Bottle (330ml). Poured a hazy golden colour with yellow highlights, good lace and a decent size head which was mostly lasting. Aroma was very fruity and hoppy with hints of guava and passionfruit on the nose. Taste also on the fruity/hoppy side with a well balanced hoppy citrus bitterness and some mild passion fruit at the back. Finish was pleasant and lingered longer than you typical commercial pilsner, mainly dry and metallic with slight a grassy residue. gam (529), brisbane, Australia Nov 26, 2007 top aroma and bitter taste, lovely gold like colour that is sharp on the palate and leaves a good lasting flavour.graeme acacia ridge
