Hollister 2:01 Imperial Red Ale

I have never heard of these guys before, but was happy to sample this delightful brew at the Malt House: poured a bright, beautiful clear reddish copper colour with a quickly dissipating off white head. Aroma is of instant hop madness, floral and pine notes accompanied by some bready malts. Taste is astringent, firm, well hopped and a little dank going down. Berry fruit and maybe a little wood, otherwise delightfully creamy mouthfeel."

Draught at the brewpub. Dark red-brown color with a beige head that leaves a sticky lacing. Citric hoppy aroma. The flavor has plenty of grapefruit and pine hoppiness, with a firm caramel and caramelized sugar maltiness. Full bodied and rich. Clean and hoppy.
