There is some spicy fruitiness and raisin in the aroma. The flavor has some sweet caramel and raisin, with some spicy clove for balance and almost no hops. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. I know this is small for a dubbel, but it was a bit lacking in feel and the flavor was pleasant but just didn’t really inspire me. Not a bad beer, but not really what I’m looking for in the style. Dark as night. Flavor is of Belgian yeast, and loads of roasty malt. Smooth finish, not too bitter at all. A nice rounded beer, but maybe not perfectly fitting with the style.
