pantani (1894), Salinas, California, USA Apr 27, 2009 Brown with an off white head. Aroma is Light coffee, roasty, caramel. Taste is lightly nutty, light coffee, light roastiness. Good example of a mild, would be a treat to have this on cask. SamGamgee (1396), Santa Cruz (La Selva), California, USA Apr 9, 2009 Draught at the brewpub. Dark brown with a light beige head. Light aroma of lightly roasted malts and a bit of toffee. The flavor has a light roast, some toasty malt and just a hint of balancing hops. The mouthfeel is light with medium carbonation. There are some decent malty flavors with a nice mild roast, but this is just a bit too thin to really enjoy. I’ll give it some leeway considering what they are going for in such a light beer, but I have had English beers around this strength that sported a good deal more mouthfeel. can8ianben (903), Pasadena, California, USA Feb 21, 2009 Not much flavor present. Really dark, almost brown - which is surprising for a lighter, lower alcohol beer. Thin mouthfeel, high carbonation - my least favorite beer they served me.
