BMan1113VR (2756), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA Aug 15, 2009 On tap at the Pizza Port Session Ale Fest. Pours with a small fading off-white head over a clear, copper body. Aroma is sweet and bready with a bit of maple, caramel, grainy and a bit husky. Taste is bready and grainy. Quite nice albeit bland. Light bubbles, thin and dry. JohnC (2227), Mission Viejo, California, USA Aug 15, 2009 On tap at Pizza Port San Clemente’s Session Ale fest 2009, this copper pour had a nice balance of malts and hops. I thought it was pretty tasty. SamGamgee (1396), Santa Cruz (La Selva), California, USA May 8, 2009 Draught at the brewpub. Amber-red with a lasting white head. Caramel, earthy hops and toasted malt aroma. The flavor is pretty much the same, with a caramel and toasty malt sweetness balanced by a medium earthy hop bitterness. Restrained fruitiness and a dry finish. Very nice balance and quite a pleasure to drink. pantani (1894), Salinas, California, USA Apr 27, 2009 Amber with a white head. Aroma is a fresh hoppiness, light apricot skin. Taste is a raw hoppiness, light graininess. and some caramel. can8ianben (903), Pasadena, California, USA Feb 21, 2009 Maybe their most well balanced and rounded beer. Slightly redish in color, aroma of sweet sticky hops, flavor is sweet and carmelly. Not a style I usually go for, but one I was happy to have in my taster set.
