GABF 2009. Pours clear with a small, fizzy white head, somewhat lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, grain, cereal, meal), heavy hop (flowers, grass, pine, resin, citrus), average yeast (sweat, musty) with notes of pineapple and apricot. Full bodied, creamy texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, heavy acidity and bitterness. Notes of weed.

GABF 2009, day 2: Super dank aromas were extremely inviting. Pungent, sharp and biting hop bitterness. Very tasty flavors. Big pine and fresh-cut grass. Rich, bready malts. Dry and bitter finish. Awesome beer. One of my favorites at the event.

On tap at O’briens. Pours with an orange-gold body topped by a thin head with some lacing. It’s hoppy and piney with a touch of grapefruit and grass, as well as very slight underlying malt notes. Seems a little green. Medium bodied, smooth and slightly dry.

On tap at Toronado SD. A surprising find. Color was dark orange with a small to medium khaki head. Aroma was really great; juicy, sweet and citrus. Flavor was earthy and citrus; quite aggressive. Nice lingering finish.

Tap @ Toronado. Pours a mostly clear medium amber color with a faint reddish hue, head was small and beige in color. Nice musty citrus and resin in the nose while the flavor holds a strong caramel sweetness. Finishes with good assertive bitterness.

Nice amber hue, with a thin off white head. Aroma is wet hops, light citrus, hemp, light malt sweetness. Taste is nicely bitter, light caramel sweetness meshed with a smooth hoppiness.

On draft at O’Briens. Medium amber and clear, thin head. Hop forward aroma, citrusy, piney and fresh bitter herbs. Hip hop hoppy flavor, pine and spruce, the aggressively bitter hops, overpower any other flavors, orange peel astringency in the finish. Medium-full body and tingly carbonation. Funny, I came out with exactly the same rating as Vac.
