SamGamgee (1396), Santa Cruz (La Selva), California, USA Jul 10, 2009 Draught at the brewpub. Amber with a sticky white head. floral and fruity hop aroma with lots of apricot. Hoppy and quite bitter, but balanced by a more pronounced nutty and light caramel malt flavor. Maltier than Hip Hop, which doesn’t let the hops flavor dominate as much, but the hops are also a little more interesting in their fruitiness. pantani (1894), Salinas, California, USA Jun 23, 2009 Amber/Brown with an off white head. Aroma is a light hoppiness, some caramel, pine. Taste is lightly floral, hoppy, some alcohol.
