bulletrain76 (540), Santa Cruz, California, USA May 27, 2008 Updated: May 28, 2008Nitro tap at the brewpub. Orange body with a thick creamy nitro head that leaves rings of lace down the glass. The aroma is super dry and hoppy. Big citrus and resin come through. The flavor is likewise dry and hoppy. Suggests and IPA with a really dry and lighter malt flavor. Really dry on the whole, and quite drinkable. The mouthfeel is a little flat due to the nitro. I think that it would be a little better with regular gas, but this differentiates it from their other pales, I guess. If you are in the mood for a clean, dry, and hoppy ale, this is what you want to go for. toncatcher (200), Santee - SAN DIEGO, California, USA Jul 13, 2007 Nitro draft at O’briens. Awesome pour, almost a 1 inch thick creamy white head that lasted forever. Aroma was equally awesome, sweet pine, citrus, and very bitter. Flavors were good, just not superb. Bitter, Bitter, and hoppy. fordest (1684), Santee/San Diego, California, USA Jul 13, 2007 Draft from the nitro tap at O’Brien’s. Lots of Citrus and grassy aromas off this bright yellow pour with a ton of head. Very creamy and small, tight bubble head. Flavors were very hoppy as well. More bitter and grapefruit than the green from the aromas. Very good.
