Jug @SOPP ’09, served in a sniffer. Cloudy amber color, no head. Sweet aroma with cognac notes and alcohol. Very alcohol-filled flavor with hops and wood. Full body, practically no carbonation. Curious, but not my thing.

Oct 22, 2009 Ceramic jug @ SOPP, Helsinki. Dark copper, almost no head. Nose is syrup, fruity cognac, little wood, some nuttiness and butter. Flavor is similar with butter, some tobacco, maple syrup, cognac fruits, hint of alcohol. A bit light palate, not really soothing enough. Barrel ageing is nicely done and the flavors are warming.

Aug 28, 2009 Draught at SOPP 2009, Helsinki. Amber color. Sweet, perfumed, toffeish and berryish aoroma with hint of mushrooms. Vinous, toffeish, berryish and brandyish flavor with mushrooms and white currant. Very low carbonation. Has some nice vinous notes but also a weird mushroom aroma and flavor.

Deep glassy amber. Light apples, flour, and alcohol in the aroma. Winey palate, but so soft and subtle. Lovely woodiness, but not too drying. Some honey, and apricot. Anna says she sniffs glue, or something. Tingly hoppiness in the finish. Delightful.

Aug 1, 2009 (Poured from jug at SOPP’09) Dark reddish brown. Small white head. Malts and some cognac in aroma. Medium bodied and very dry palate with almost non-existent carbonation. Malts, light roastedness, some cognac, wood and bitterness in taste. Dry malty aftertaste.

Amber color, no head. Aroma is a bit sourish, vineous, some fruits and malts. Flavor has hops and lots of cognac and wood. Mouthfeel is wiineous Quite succesful experiment.

Jul 10, 2009 Draught at SOPP. Amber colour with a small white head. Malty aroma with notes of smoke and cognac. The flavour is toffeish malt, oak, fruits, slightly bitter and cognac. Hint of alcohol in the finish. Very interesting and tasty brew.
