pivnizub (4003), Porúří, Germany Dec 11, 2007 Bottle (purchased at the brasserie): Clear, golden mid-sized lacing white head, grainy, sweet-malty and fruity-yeasty - a special house quality? - nose, softly interrupted by grassy hops; moderate, slightly dryer bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied; yeasty, bitter, harsh finish. Not well balanced, hops are not blending in, the Pilsner character is disturbed by the yeasty aromas.......... MoritzF (4010), Ruhrpott, Germany Oct 29, 2007 (bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Sweet, quite bready malty nose with shy herbal hops. Light-bitter flavour with a touch of residual sweetness, light to medium bodied with a crispy, slightly fizzy, not perfectly matured carbonation. Bready malty base with light herbal accents; bitter-sweet, lightly hoppy finish. Lacks maturation. Papsoe (11030), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 19, 2006 (Bottle 33 cl) Comes as "Holnsteiner Mini Pils". Clear, pilsener golden with a white head. Clean, malty aroma. Medium body with distinct, sweetish notes and some dry hops in the finish. But the sweetness seems to dominate. 131106 Ungstrup (11568), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 13, 2006 A golden beer with a disappearing beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with a light metallic note from the hops. The flavor is sweet malty, at first with a note of caramel, but soon the metallic hops comes along and dominates towards a sweet end with the metal note lingering for a long time. Not a favorite. motelpogo (4124), Plzen, Czech Republic Jan 23, 2003 tasted this on tap at a pretty seedy poolhall in amberg. looked great with a big furry head but turned out to be pretty bland. pleasant very late bitterness but no real character
