This is the UK version, brewed under licence at 4.7% by Shepherd Neame. Well, it was a bit cleaner and fresher than most of the other lagers in the session, but still nothing to write home about. Next up was the dreaded A-B Budweiser. maeib (4768), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Jan 4, 2007 Canned. A pale gold coloured lager with a thin off-white coloured head. The aroma is skunky and corny with some buttery nasty unpleasantness. The taste is sickly and corny. A thin lager lackiing quality. leaparsons (4755), Leicester, Leicestershire, England

Aromas are corn, grain and almost green apple with some vanilla and corn. Flavours are gritty grain with fatty butter and light citrus. Quite dry on the finish. Mild sweetness. Wheaty flavour. Modest hops. Inoffensive. Most of the appeal of this drink is that it has been chilled and served with co2. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 19, 2006 Slightly confused. The keg version is a refreshing, thinly headed sweet malty lager bearing little resemblance to its German namesake. The 4.7% bottle I have in my hand has an unappealingly rusty nose, but pours with a well-retained snowy white head and has a slightly smoky malty graininess that is not at all unpleasant. If your (generic UK draught lager) options are limited at the bar, you could do much worse. IrishBoy (2723), Bakersfield, California, USA
