If all else fails I am quite happy to drink this, there is just a bit more hop than most commercial lagers Mklein818 (165), Etterbeek, Virginia, Belgium

Not bad for a commercial German--a bit too much of the hop for this otherwise clean Deutsche brew. hughie (3056), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England

Everything else was forgettable. Why can’t they make this sort of brew taste of something? Not bitter enough. Papsoe (14996), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 26, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) The stronger Holsten export-version is a dark golden brew with a fine, dense white head. Nice malt in the nose. Body soft as velvet with the malt being very pronounced also here. Fruity, fresh hoppy finish. An excellent lager indeed. 210899 imdownthepub (5143), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England

Bowling again, I decided to take the bottled beer option, and I have to say, this wasn't too bad. Drier, maltier than most commercial lagers with a dry bitter finish. A reasonable standby in times of need. johndoughty (2156), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England
