| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Oct 20, 2008 it has a slightly harsh but very flavourful nose that smells like burnt malt and sweetness. its appearance is actually very nice being very dark with a large brown head. it tastes like burnt grains, is pretty sweet and some unusual nut flavours. this beer is a high class style attempted on a budget and in its price/alcohol range it is alot better than boring pale lagers or malt liquors. the flavour of this is a bit harsh but at least one of the most interesting in the cheap beer category.
KyotoLefty (1443), Kyoto, Japan
