| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 18, 2007 This pours a deep mahogany body with a lofty, sustained tan head. Very sweet, malty aroma - caramel with a splash of milk chocolate. It tastes of lightly roasted malts, a sweetness tempered by the arrival of a mild herbal bitterness near to the finish. At 7% ABV, a dangerously sessionable beer.

Pours a dark mahogany/brown body under a large but quick fading tan head. Dry, malty aroma exudes the dark sweetness of chocolate-caramel. Mid-bodied with a lively mouth. Well-crafted, with a roasty yet sweet malted flavor leading to a coffee bitterness... then finishing as a bittersweet union of the twain. Very good, especially from a canned product which usually gets a bum rap.

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Jun 26, 2007 Not bad by any means...it’s a nice dark strong beer, though i could get no head on this one...a bit of roast in the back of the mouth, some nice burnt flavour. Not as flavourful as Faxe Festbock (which is no huge prize in itself), but a nice enough alternative when you’re faced with a shelf full of bland Euro pale lagers. Exactly why I picked it up today.
