Le goût est autre, malte faible avec un peu trop d’eau, arrière goût alcoolisé. It looks like molasses and has no head when poured into a glass. Although not bad on it’s own and probably a german pride beer (as the label lists) dont drink too many of these as you’ll be praying to the porcalain gods. Good with snitzel I think... bellyObeer (13), Canada

Pours a nice dark red with good head that disapears shortly after. Very rich strong taste, lots of flavour. This is one of my favorite beers. wanderingman (54), Guelph, Ontario, Canada

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 1, 2006 500ml can: Pours a dark-red brown with an initially large head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is the best part - appealingly sweet, hints of chocolate and sugar. Taste is best at fridge level or a bit warmer, but not matter what you do you’ll get a heavy alcohol, almost oak-like taste. Hints of sweet when it’s cooler, makes way to a soft caramel, then into bitter as it warms. Oddly thin for a bock. DuffMan (2774), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada

Thin in the mouth, mostly sweet malt with little else. Not as good as Faxe Festbock. Miguel (1181), Saint-Ours, Quebec, Canada
