Candyish lemon flavours. A kiss of malt is the only bit of beer here. Fizzy crackle adds a little crispness in the finish to offset the cloying lemon extract. Evaluated as a beer, it is poor, but it gets a good Overall Impression number because it is a lot like Saxer Lemon Lager, which I used to love sitting on the deck overlooking the Fraser River during my university summers. Recapturing that here in Toronto might be tough, but nostalgia helps me drink this whereas I don't imagine too many other Ratebeerians would want a second bottle. leaparsons (4749), Leicester, Leicestershire, England

Needless to say this is as bad as Fusion Kurrant. I wonder if Apple flavour is any good? Nah, shan't bother. Radek Kliber (3962), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | May 8, 2003 Dusty lemon with few drops of prime skunk . Yeah there is some loemon flavour in it but after that in this watery brew we have bitter unpleasant off- ings . Where is the fun ? jerc (3945), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Sep 2, 2003 Lemon pledge aroma. Watery mouthfeel. Bit to sweet. Not much in the way of beer flavour. Not unenjoyable but would not make a repeat purchase. CapFlu (3483), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
| 1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 3/20 | May 9, 2003 (275ml Bottle) My guess is that Canada has been selected as the NATO nation to accept crap German beer that couldn't be sold on the homefront. I've noticed no-one from Germany has tried this? Pours no head and a clear, pee-yellow body. Aroma of lemon cough drops. Tastes horrible. The 'fusion' is obviously not the scientific lead it took to generate this beer... rauchbier (3002), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Mar 3, 2003 Bottled. Gold colour, low head and moderate condition. Dominant lemon citrus aroma, oversweet and acidic in the mouth and overdry in the finish. Holsten Pils used to be advertised in the UK by "clever" use of anagrams of the name. One anagram of Holsten Fusion is "foul neon shits", which should be enough to put anyone off.

| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | May 7, 2003 Lemon, hops aroma, pale yellow, short lived head. Corn, with lemon taste, too sweet. Corona with lemon, not a very pleasant drink. GregClow (2498), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 1/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | May 18, 2003 Maybe my opinion was affected by the fact that I drank a bottle after several hours of yard work on a Sunday afternoon, but I actually didn't think this beer was horrible. Yeah, it's a mediocre Euro-lager, slightly skunky due to the green bottle, mixed with some artifical tasting lemon flavour. But it was a lot less offensive than I expected, and did a nice job quenching my thirst. I won't be rushing back to the store for a case or anything, but as a fruity summer drink, it hit the spot better than any alcopop.
