May 27, 2008 Just like every other lager I’ve tasted. No big flaws, but no personality either. The foam is a bit ugly and too light, the aroma and flavor have nothing worth mentioning. Drinkable but not among my favourites.

May 21, 2008 Had a Holsten near Hamburg from tap. Nice and stabile head eventhough it tastet very much dilutet. clear golden colour but a very weak body and only a little dry finish. boring and def. not "premium"

May 14, 2008 Medium white head. Yellow body with carbonation. Grainy and buttery caramel aroma. Dry roasty grain and straw taste. with caramel notes Very clear and distinct. Harmonic. Dry grassy and floral hop aftertaste. Some residual sweetness. Surprisingly good. (0.33l bottle, Hotel Jensen minibar, Lübeck.)

May 12, 2008 Gold and green can. 5%. "Holsten Pils". Very yellow. Quickly thinning white head. Kind of dark grassy aroma, not strong. A touch of sweetness. Thick mouth feel. A bit grassy with a touch of cereal. Light hop presence.
