| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 16, 2009 Pours a dark chocolate with very little tan head. Aroma is chocolate malts with roasted hazelnuts. Flavor is an interesting mix of chocolate/coffee malts with a fruity cranberry flavor to take away the bite. It is an interesting bite on the classic chocolate notes for this beer. Body is creamy but light and light carbonation. dwyerpg (2529), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 16/20 | Jan 16, 2009 A little lactic in this aroma. Great appearance. A lot of roast in this. The pomegranate only shows it’s face with a slightly fruity finish. Some coffee. Very strange. slimchill (777), Austin, Texas, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 6, 2009 On tap at Aroma’s. Appearance is very black, with a small tan head. Aroma of sour fruit (must be pomegranate), chocolate, malt. Taste is a fruity, malty, roasty mess. Fruit is a little on the tart side. Finish is tart and a little fruity. Overall, a little too fruity and tart for this stout, though still very interesting. Not something I’d seek out, but I’m glad I tried.
