Miver (551), WillowStreet, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 11, 2008 12 oz bottle Thanks to Axilla. Poured deep brown almost black in color with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate malt, dark fruits, mild roast. Tastes of smooth sweet chocolate, dark fruits, nuts, and molasses. Nice body, smooth mouth feel. Actually a bit better then I was expecting. This was certainly very drinkable. Radek Kliber (3926), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada Sep 11, 2008 Bottle 355 ml

cbkschubert (1945), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA Sep 8, 2008 12 oz. bottle via trade with laroja - Pours a clear dark brown color with a 1/2 finger thick tan head that faded pretty quick. Light carbonation and no lacing. Aroma is chocolate and roasted malt. Flavor is dark esters, lightly sweetened chocolate malt and light roasted malt. Mouthfeel is a little thin. Slight lingering aftertaste. A decent beer. Thanks Morgan. xmarcnolanx (789), Kirkwood, Missouri, USA Sep 7, 2008 Aroma is soy, molasses, dark malts, lots of sweetness.
Appearance is dark, deep brown, slight fizzy tan-brown head that does not linger overlong.
Taste is sweet and malty with a little bit of saltiness, some dryness, molasses, soy.
Finish is a touch fizzy, not too cloying, and slightly dry.
Very well done.
Thanks daknole! Butters (1622), Virginia, USA Sep 5, 2008 Pours a beautiful near black with dark, barely perceivable garnet highlights and a fair brown head that quickly fades to a miniscule thin ring of head. Great chocolate aroma. Flavor tastes sweet, molasis, caramel, and slightly burnt. Body is medium and lightly carbonated. Cloying sweetness in the finish. I don’t detect any fruit until the aftertaste. Very enjoyable. AgentSteve (1334), SF Bay Area, California, USA Sep 5, 2008 Pours attractive deep brown with a dark tan head. The nose is sweet and chocolate malt. The flavor has this influence, along with a cloying sweetness that makes it just odd. emerica56 (575), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Sep 4, 2008 Pours a dark black with no head at all, nor is there any trace of lacing along the sides of the glass. The nose is extreamly roasty with hints of dark fruit. You can really smell the esters that were formed from the pomegranate juice. The flavor is full of dark roasted malt mixed with dark fruit and a nice bitterness that sticks to your mouth. Overall it has a nice robust flavor with a good amount of carbonation and a great well balanced flavor. Swalden28 (1439), McKinney, Texas, USA Sep 2, 2008 Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy.
Pours a Deep black with ruby hue’s, tan head. Aroma of soy sauce. Flavor of chocolate, dark roast, soy sauce, some tangy fruit. Has medium body with medium carbonation. Overall, I am not a fan of this.... Chocolate, fruit, and soy sauce does not work for me. Not a fan.
