Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. Pours a Deep black with ruby hue’s, tan head. Aroma of soy sauce. Flavor of chocolate, dark roast, soy sauce, some tangy fruit. Has medium body with medium carbonation. Overall, I am not a fan of this.... Chocolate, fruit, and soy sauce does not work for me. Not a fan.

Pours black with minimal brown head that dissipates quickly. Big chocolate and coffee aromas. Flavor starts out with bitter burnt malts, caramel and molasses and finishes with the sweetness of the pomegranite juice. A very interesting tasting imperial stout. Full body with very minimal carbonation and a soft mouthfeel.

Bottle: Thin looking pour with wispy tan bubbles for head. Has an odd aroma of roast and candy notes of purple grape and artificial/perfumy fruit hints. Somewhat watery feel for an Imperial Stout. Odd flavors upfront of tart jam/jelly character and grape lollipop. The fruit tartness seems artificial and isn’t harmonious with the late mocha-like roasted malt character. Not very cohesive, but interesting and points for the effort of combining a Stout with Pomegranates.

Oakes bottle, brought from Florida. I liked its smokiness, not the addition of pommegrant juice. Its black with a white head. It has a sour finish.

At first all I noticed was a chocolate and coffee smell and flavor. Very smooth. About half way into it, I really started to notice the pomegranate, and its really nice.. dchmela is the MAN!

12 oz bottle. Dark brown with a slim tan head. Nose is coffee and teriyaki sauce; really odd but interesting. Medium body with a persistent tingle. Taste is coffee and chocolate nicely integrated with a sweet shot of pomegranate. Reminds me of Black Forest cake. Gets slightly sour and vegetal in the finish. Very creative stout.
