Commercial Description:
Dark chocolate barley and roasted grains paired with American hops and Belgian yeast create a mouthful of flavors, but wait thats not all, add a hint of pomegranate juice and what you have here is not your run of the mill fruit beer. You've hit the mother load. At 8%ABV this ale is suitablefor aging 1-2 years. Brewed by Florida Beer Co for Gordash Brewing.

2008 bottle. Pours black with a small bubbly tan head. Aroma of burnt malt and sweet pomegranate, which just didn’t mesh together for me. Very odd smelling and not in a good way. Flavor is still burnt with roasted malt and parmesean cheese and a sweet pomegranate finish. Meh, this is very underwhelming. The flavors are just bad. Why would you add pomegranate juice to an imperial stout? It was difficult to take even more than a few sips of this nasty beverage. 5/4/5/2/12 (2.8/5)

Super Dark with minimal lighter fluffy head. Aroma is sweet and roasty with hints of fruit. Taste is sweet and creamy and I wouldn’t pick out pom right away but it is slightly tart coming through the coffee. Pretty good overall.

On draft @ Redlight. Black color with a 1-cm thick big-bubbled loose tan head. Sweet aroma with moderate roastiness, slight fruitiness, and some lactose notes. More roasty aroma apparent as it warms a bit. Clean slightly sweet roast flavor, a hint of fruity sweetness, light lingering hop buzz. Well put together. The pomegrante wasn’t real detectable to me.

Bottle courtesy of bleeng. Dark red pour. Smells of nice heavy malt chocolate stout. Flavor compliments this well. Tasty.

Bottle shared at the Beer Wars preparty. Poured a solid black with a small creamy beige head. Aroma had a wierd roasty/sweet combo like fruit and dark chocolate that just wasnt working. Luckily the flavor was much better with the sweetness blending much better and notes of vanilla and chocolate with a sweet finish. The body is a little on the the thin side but overall an enjoyable beer.

Black color with a small off-white head. Roasty aroma with some pomegranate and bunt popcorn. Roasty flavor slightly bun, slightly sour, with pomegranate flavors.

A thick black pour with an uneven dark tan head. Foam is gone within a couple of minutes. Aroma is whiskey dominated with roasted malt and coffee. First blush says this is a unique impy stout. It is amazingly smooth and easy to drink. That usually means no flavor but not here. Perhaps this is an oatmeal stout aged in whiskey barrel. That is my take on it. Roasted coffee notes, chocolate, espresso and whiskey. Very mild bitter aftertaste. This might or might not be an imperial stout but whatever it is the words delicious and well crafted describes it.

draft @ redlight redlight. Its officially in, and on draft! Chocolatey malts and dark fruits come off the nose, blueberries, black raspberries, roasty aromas. Pours dark dark brown, black, with purplish reddish tints on the outside when held to the light, with a thin tan head. Good chocolate malt flavors, roasted malts, dark fruit, pomegranate, a lot of hop flavor coming through too, seems pretty hoppy, with a carmalelly dry finish. Very good!
