12oz bottle thanks to HOPSHUNTER. Pours a dark brownish black color with a foamy chocolate head. Nose is roasty malts and milk chocolate with a light hint of fruityness. Palate is full and foamy with a light bitterness. Flavors are light fruit and milk chocolates and a nice dark roasted malt.

2008 Bottle. Black with a tan head that settles to a ring and left light lace. Subdued aromas of milk chocolate and roasted malts. The flavor stands out more with chocolate, coffee, roast, and nut. Medium to full body, creamy texture, and a roasty aftertaste.

Bottle, thanks to lithy. Pours black with very small tan head. The aroma is on the fruity side with berries and pomegranate, with notes of espresso, dark chocolate, wet wood, and anise. The flavor is roasted sourness with that strong fruit element agaiin. Then come notes of chocolate and tannin. Finish is spice, berries, and toasted wood. Interesting beer.

Jim Mack’s Pre-Beer Wars Gathering. Pours a brown black body with a tan head. Chewy hints of roasted malt, licorice, chocolate malt sweet but still creamy. A hint of cherry. I enjoyed it.

12-oz. Thanks, IBrew2or3! Pours opaque black with no head, lace, or legs. Chocolate and ripe pomegranate on the nose. Smells great in a sweet way. Creamy body well above medium. Chocolate, roast, pomegranate, and a bit of coffee. Mild, slightly acetic finish that lingers into robust coffee. Very intriguing and nice, easy-drinking beer.

Draught: Poured a black color with a light brown creamy thick head. The aroma was coffee bean and bacon. Taste is smokey with burnt caramel malt.

12 oz bottle. Dark brown with a slim tan head. Nose is coffee and teriyaki sauce; really odd but interesting. Medium body with a persistent tingle. Taste is coffee and chocolate nicely integrated with a sweet shot of pomegranate. Reminds me of Black Forest cake. Gets slightly sour and vegetal in the finish. Very creative stout.

Blackish pour with a small beige head. Aroma is very roasty and smoky with a bit of charred wood and coffee. Flavor has some smoky wood and coffee in there - light hops. Smooth, but unremarkable. Not bad, especially for a Florida brew.
