Dark chocolate barley and roasted grains paired with American hops and Belgian yeast create a mouthful of flavors, but wait thats not all, add a hint of pomegranate juice and what you have here is not your run of the mill fruit beer. You've hit the mother load. At 8%ABV this ale is suitablefor aging 1-2 years. Brewed by Florida Beer Co for Gordash Brewing.

On tap in Plantation, FL. This is nice. Very nice actually. No real hint of the pomegranate, just a nice chocolate and coffee scented beer with some of the same flavors on the palate. Pours very dark with a very small head. Good amount of hops. Well done.

Big surpise out of Gordash Beer co. Pours black, with a thin nutty head. Nose is roasty with a slight fruity presence. Aroma is roasty malt, coffee with a very hidden but sweet discreet pomegranate. Sweet and bitter at the same time, mix between the roastiness and the botterness of the yeast. Still wondering how this qualifies as an Imperial!

2008 bottle at Oldsmar Tap House. Nice dark chocolate taste at first. Leaves a pomegranate after taste. Not sure exactly how to describe the smell. It was quite different but quite pleasant.

Ditto to Dragonstout, thanks to Bob for sharing his brand new beer. A strong Belgian style stout of sorts. Neat stuff. Nearly opaque black, light creamy head. Nice aroma with mild roast and a frruity funky Belgian carnival. Chocolate, meaty roasted plums (what?), chocolate covered cherries but thats probably the pomegranate. Lightly vinous. Clean chocolate and roast flavors with pom in the background. Pretty well built, almost a dessert beer. A touch of acrid husky dark gains in the finish. Plenty of complexity here, really nice.

Nice surprise here. I didn’t really like the regular Holy Mackeral Golden, so I suppose I didn’t think would be very good, either. Plus, "Belgian style stout with pomegranate" seems to be a nice way of saying "Trainwreck". Well, this was really good - the stout-y flavors are there, but the pomegranate seems to play off the natural fruit notes that would be there anyway. Coffee notes mix well with fruity notes, and some subtle red wine notes brighten up the finish. Really nice, I hope to see this in bottles. At the Raleigh WBF.

Thanks to mcbackus for this one - pitch black pour with a thin ring of tan lace - the aroma is an interesting mix of tart, earthy pomegranate, roasted malt, chocolate, and very light oak - smooth, creamy mouthfeel - the flavor is much like the aroma - tart, almost sour up front, with earthy fruit skins (cherry, raspberry) - coffee bitterness follows, and then some vanilla sweetness, burnt sugars, tobacco - tartness and a touch of wood in the finish - the alcohol is completely masked - a unique and tasty brew.

Thanx to Bob gordash for sharing this at Redlight.Pours a gloomy black color with a small khaki head. The nose has chocolate all over it.the flavor was definately interesting. At 1st the chocolate slams into you and after that its little brother, the pommegrante comes by and kicks you some more.Well balanced beer, getting all the flavors intended. Also there was some vinous grape notes, wine like here. The finish had some tanginess to it.Well done.

Deep chocolate aroma with a nice full mouthfeel. The finish and late palate really give that sweet pommegranite. Great balance all thorugh. Had it at the Tampa Beer Festival.
