12 oz bottle from ucusty. Thanks David! Near black with a quickly diminishing tan head. Big coffee nose, very roasty and a solid hit of fruit. (Pomegranate? Hard to tell. Maybe.) Big coffee flavor, another hit of indeterminate fruit. Roasty bitterness, the pomegranate shows at the tail end - tangy and sweet - and disappears for the lingering baking chocolate finish. Interesting and pretty damn tasty.

thanks to daknole for the hookup! pours black with minimal head. the nose actually has a detectable hint of sweet pomegranate, as well as some light smokey and burnt notes. taste and body are almost like soda on first impact, fairly sweet and a strange type of small carbonation. again, the po is present, maybe a lil too much as it’s a pretty sweet brew. but also unique, and still darn good.

Tap. Pours black with a one finger tan head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, and bakers chocolate. Taste is the same as aroma with hints of dark fruit and pomegranate. Medium full mouthfeel with a moderate amount of bitterness and well hidden alcohol. Very good.

Poured up into a stout tulip glass from the tap at the Oldsmar Tap House. Pours dark dark brown with frothy brown head and spotty lacing. Nice big inviting aroma with dark roasted malts, burnt malts, sweet rich maltiness and chocolate malts. Really nice smell of each successive draw from the glass. The taste seems a bit thin for the style. I get highly roasted malts to burnt malts, some coffee and chocolate with faint dark fruity esters. There is a fruity pomegranate fruit tartness that runs into the finish.

Aroma is soy, molasses, dark malts, lots of sweetness. Appearance is dark, deep brown, slight fizzy tan-brown head that does not linger overlong. Taste is sweet and malty with a little bit of saltiness, some dryness, molasses, soy. Finish is a touch fizzy, not too cloying, and slightly dry. Very well done. Thanks daknole!

Draft at Redlight. Pours black with a slight mahogany edge and a thick dark tan head. Aroma is roasted grain, dry coffee, and just the slightest hint of berry. Taste is dry coffee, roasted grain, and chocolate malt. Dry roasty aftertaste. Really solid, but more of a foreign stout. Can’t wait for it to be in bottle.

12 oz bottle courtesy of Daknole. Pours a black color with a hint of purple with no head to speak of. Nose is coffee, chocolate & a hint of citrus. Palate was a bit lively for an Imperial Stout, but it works for this brew. Interesting mix of flavors here. You got dark , bitter coffee, bakers chocolate, a hint of spice from the belgian yeast & an odd citrus presence. I’ve never had pomegrante juice, but that must be what I am tasting here. You owe it to yourself to try this brew.

Dark brown pour with frothy tan and some decent lace. Pomegranate and chocolate on the nose. Complex flavor consisting of caramel & espresso up front and a vanilla pomegranate finish very nice
