Sep 22, 2008 Got this in Panama City Beach. Funky. Very cloudy and yellow. Had an almost spicy taste to it as well. Am I the only one that tasted black licorice??? Definitely has character.

Sep 21, 2008 12 oz bottle courtesy of daknole (thanks). Pours a dark gold color with a small off-white head that soon fades to nothing. The aroma is moderate in strength with banana esters, biscuit and a whiff of alcohol. The flavor had great deal of ripe sweet fruits; pears, berries and apples--set in a yeasty biscuit backdrop. The mouthfeel was full and malty. The finish was long and semi-sweet. Overall: A very tasty brew, much enjoyed here.

Sep 12, 2008 2008 bottle. Pours a clear gold with good white head. Sweet banana and belgian yeast aroma. Some alcohol on the finish. Was better from memory. Aging would be good.

Sep 7, 2008 Aroma is sweet, yeasty, a bit of cooked vegetible that is probably not DMS, but a wheaty, yeasty combination that comes off that way.
Fairly light colored, head doesn’t linger well despite wheat malt.
Taste is pear, apple, more yeast, some hoppiness.
Finish is slick and buttery, full, but distracting.
A lot of flaws in this one.
Decent.

Sep 7, 2008 Pours a very light yellow in color. Not a whole lot of head on the pour, but plenty of carbonation. Smell is almost "lagerish". Completely not what I was expecting. Taste was a little off as well. Some hops were present in the taste. Very thin on the mouthfeel. A little tough to finish.

Appearance: Clear gold with good depth. Fizzy midlle with creamy ring on side. 3-.
Nose: Citric funk with light dryness of alcohol. Good set up. 7+
Flavor/Palate : Full bodied ale . Sharper than aromas dryness of alcohol. Rich, sweet malts are filling. Softer , creamier ending.

Aug 25, 2008 2008 12 oz. bottle in trade from Daknole- thanks! Served in trappist glass- poured somewhat transparent faded orange/copper, low carbonation, thin white ring around the glass for a head, aroma of alcohol, yeast, and powdered sugar. Hits the mouth with a thin body, some hints of spice in the middle, finish has citrus zing and a slight hop note to it. Open, pour, drink, throw bottle, next!
