not sure about this one, i was reading these other reviews and they all said there was a small head, mine poured completely flat no sign of head whatsoever, the taste is a little flat, i don’t know if this is how it is supposed to be because i’ve never had it before. Overall i don’t care for this much, i’d rather have an actual belgian ale!

Light golden body, small beige head. Aroma of bready, candy sweetness. Flavor is cloyingly sweet with loads of banana and alcohol. Finishes sour. It doesn’t really come together. Forget the cellaring; it could use a recipe overhaul. With a lighter malt bill, this could be a nice beer.

2008 Edition. 12 oz. bottle courtesy of a trade with dchmela. Pours a clear golden amber with a moderate off-white head that disappeared after two or three sips and left no lace. The aroma is excessively sweet with overripe bananas being the dominant characteristic. The flavor is way too sweet, almost sickly sweet, and is very reminiscent of overripe bananas. Syrupy mouthfeel. I enjoy sweet beers, but this one, I did not. Perhaps with some age on it, this will improve.

Bottle: Clear gold color with a wispy white head. The aroma on this is outstanding, candied orange peels, bananas, clove, light malts and a peppery hop finish. Medium bodied...flavors of sweet bread dough, light citrus and a decent hop kick at the end. As this warmed the candied sugar aspects made their way to the forefront, but not in an overpowering way. I’m quite fond of this, though it’s a tad too sweet.

My first FL rating. Surprisingly drinkable, and also surprising is this is a Belgian ale even a bottle that screams pale lager. Sweet candyish aroma with Belgian yeast. Sweet flavor with lots of malt and sugar, as well as some sweet fruit. Light hops as an afterthought, I didn’t pick up the Saaz at all, and usually I detect that hop because I like it so much. Also what, and some spice including coriander. A very drinkable beer.

Bottle. 12 fl. oz. Hazy, amber color with frothy, white head. Good lacing. Sweet aroma of honey, lemon, and yeast. Medium bodied with a fairly dry texture. Flavor starts out bitter, then finishes with a big, sweet ending. The alcohol was well hidden. A strong, enjoyable beer.

thanks to daknole for this bottle. Hazy orange pour, next to no head. NOse is fruity, and yeasty. Notes of orange, pineapple, banana and fruit caramel with a big yeasty kick. Flavour is quite sweet, almost cloying. The fruitiness comes through again, leaves a bananaish aftertaste. Interesting belgian, kinda like a belgian wit on steroids.

Thanks to OSLO. Gold color with no head. Sweet grain and yeasty aroma. Strong bready taste with some candi sugar finish it out with a little sweetness. Fruit.
