| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 18, 2007 Slightly hazy golden/amber coloured body with a nice dense tan head and larger bubbles rising from the bottom. Aroma of strong toffee and golden syrup, yeast, wheat and a bit more sweetness - very nice. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong sweetness up front of raisins, figs, grapes and some bananas - chewy body with a good malt backbone. Aftertaste shows a mild bitterness, some nuts - but mostly sweetness. Overall, a very nice trip/belgie strong, not a bad offering from an american brewer. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Tampa, Florida on 17-December-2007. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 16, 2007 Bottle from Total Wine in Naples, FL. Pours golden with white head. Aroma of banana and belgian yeast. Medium bodied with a slight stickness. Initial flavor of Belgian wheat malts, banana, pear, that is countered by a subtle herbal bitterness mid palate, along with some biscuity notes. More sweetness comes out as it warms. Semi dry and yeasty finish. Not a bad Belgian style beer. omhper (12299), Stockholm, Sweden
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 1, 2007 Bottled at Akkurat, Stockholm. Clear amber, small head. Rich marzipan-like yeast character. Sweet and fruity, near full bodied with rounded mouthfeel, Marzipan and yeast dominates completely. Simple and heavy, but well organized. SpringsLicker (2043), Tennessee, USA

Pours a fairly clear golden body that throws up a minimal white head. Very nice lace however.
Malt, Belgian yeast, citrus all well blended in the aroma.
Sweet, light bodied with some astringency in the finish.
Needs more complexity and bit less sweetness. ¾ (5009), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 17, 2007 12oz bottle. Weak film of a head forming over a cloudy orange body but dying very fast. Intensely sweet aroma of straightforward banana and clove, basically a standard tripel nose, only sweeter than it should be. Cloying up front with weak carbontion but still a heavy weight on the tongue. Sticky, thick, syrupy sweet candy sugar dominates this beer. I just really don’t have much of a taste these days for strong goldens or tripels. zathrus13 (1317), Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 13, 2007 Pours gold, with a small, white head. Aroma is oranges, sugar, and alcohol. Flavor is oranges, sugar, honey, and a bit of hops. Very sweet. Aging would probably help this one.
