Commercial Description:
From the Aktienbrauerei Kaufbeuren comes this classic example of a typical Bavarian country style Beer. Not too hoppy, yet pleasantly tart and a lovely golden color makes this a lager style beer for any time of day. Well balanced & a beautiful head.

Clean, biscuity malt accent on both the nose and the palate. If you like dortmunders or helles, you’ll really enjoy landbier.

Swing top bottle. Blonde, cloudy, no specific aroma. Light citric flavor. No clear hop character. Just a refreshing and fairly tasty beer. Surprisingly little character, but I drank this beer with pleasure.

Bottle (donated by joss !): Pale golden, cloudy, bigger, slowly collapsing loose white head; citrousy-worty nose, mixed with traces of yeast and spicy hops; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; lingering spicy-fruity-hoppy finish. A goody.........

(swing top bottle) Cloudy, yellow colour with a big but non-persistent foamy white head. Sweet, slightly yeasty and worty malt aroma with notes of citrus and spicy hops. Light-bitter flavour, slim bodied with a soft carbonation. Moderately yeasty, slightly worty malty nose with subtle fruity accents (citrus); dryish, slightly sweet and bitter finish with a light but aromatic hoppy bite. Nice brew by a tiny Suebian brewery (09.04.08).

Very slightly hazy, pale gold color with a thin cap of a white head, this has a sweet, doughy aroma with hints of grass and a light floral hopping. Lightly carbonated, this is medium-bodied, yet somewhat sticky to drink. The flavor is pretty much that of sweet malts with a slight hop bitterness on the tongue in the finish.

One of the best in this style. Landbier is kind of like a zwickle. Young and impressionable. Light straw color with a medium white head. Slightly acidic, just enough to make this a great thirst quencher.

My beer was not the fleshiest but still had great fruity / flowery aroma that many top ales would be jealous. The head was ugly, look unimpressive. A bit of apple with medium roasted malt with acidic finish. I am sure this would be a decent beer if would be fresher.

Light gold color, slightly greenish tint. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet. A light to medium bodied landbier. Malts are fruity and sweet, with a touch of breadiness. Hops are crisp, slightly spicy and a touch floral. Nicely balanced. A little sweet and could have used a touch more carbonation, but still a nice tasting, light and crisp beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
