beerguy101 (3478), Newark, California, USA Mar 28, 2004 Light gold color, slightly greenish tint. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet. A light to medium bodied landbier. Malts are fruity and sweet, with a touch of breadiness. Hops are crisp, slightly spicy and a touch floral. Nicely balanced. A little sweet and could have used a touch more carbonation, but still a nice tasting, light and crisp beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
pivnizub (3808), Porúří, Germany May 25, 2008 Bottle (donated by joss !): Pale golden, cloudy, bigger, slowly collapsing loose white head; citrousy-worty nose, mixed with traces of yeast and spicy hops; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; lingering spicy-fruity-hoppy finish. A goody......... MoritzF (3865), Ruhrpott, Germany Apr 10, 2008 (swing top bottle) Cloudy, yellow colour with a big but non-persistent foamy white head. Sweet, slightly yeasty and worty malt aroma with notes of citrus and spicy hops. Light-bitter flavour, slim bodied with a soft carbonation. Moderately yeasty, slightly worty malty nose with subtle fruity accents (citrus); dryish, slightly sweet and bitter finish with a light but aromatic hoppy bite. Nice brew by a tiny Suebian brewery (09.04.08). joss (3120), Garching b. München, Germany Mar 25, 2008 Bottle. Fairly yeasty, dry clayish aroma. Cloudy neon yellow, off-white foam. Strong fruity entrance, citrus fruits, minerallic yeast, herbal and aromatic hops hiding in the background. Fairly carbonated, hence a bit too light mouthfeel. Peachy retronasal. jpm30 (1587), East Central, Georgia, USA Sep 25, 2006 From a 500 ml. euro brown bottle with a notch freshness date on the back label.
Poured an unfiltered cloudy dull golden with a foamy white head that settled into a thin lacing.
Aromas of spicy floral hops, a grain breadiness and a light lemon.
Moderate carbonation and a crisp, creamy smooth medium bodied mouthfeel.
Nice pleasant taste, grainy and sour bready, floral and slight grassy hops that are soft in their bitterness, a sweet lemony emerges towards the end and a dry spicy and malty finish.
Easy, smooth drinkability, not a bad Landbier, quite quaffable. bierkoning (4731), La Tropica, Netherlands Sep 7, 2006 Swing top bottle. Blonde, cloudy, no specific aroma. Light citric flavor. No clear hop character. Just a refreshing and fairly tasty beer. Surprisingly little character, but I drank this beer with pleasure.
