Mellow aroma with light hints of bready malt and floral hops. Flavor is very mildly sweet with a balanced bitterness. Light body, crisp but with a butterscotch finish. Not bad, just nothing special and had a hard time smelling or tasting the NW hops. Gurst (338), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA

Pale malt flavor is minimally sweet and is balanced by a moderately bitter, classic American hop flavor. Aromas are fairly light; not much hops, just some light maltiness. Light-medium in body, crisp and clean on the palate. Medium golden in color with moderate haze. Thin, off-white head settles to a sugar sprinkle film and thin ring. Nothing out of the ordinary here, but there’s nothing wrong with making a straight forward beer. CaptBier (302), Birmingham, Alabama, USA

Soapy/malty aroma. Grassy and silky with a slippery palate. Too soapy. PorterPounder (3137), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 4, 2004 Poured at the brewery in a take home bottle. Light orange appearance, with a small white head. Faint aroma of mint leaves and fresh lake water. Slight citrusy bent to the flavor, but overall, rather bland. Decent with food, also had one with a halibut and salmon dinner. Mouthfeel is decent enough. An everyday PA, not bad.
