marchcow (513), Coralville, Iowa, USA Sep 21, 2008 Sweet sour aromas, with a clear light golden color, Flavors of honey, sour citrus and flowers, mild palate with a slight stickiness. My first mead - so I guess I thought it was pretty good. Goodgrief (1050), Middletown, Delaware, USA Feb 23, 2008 May 2007 - I have no idea how to rate meads. Immensely floral aroma...honeysuckle flowers. Very flowery taste of honeysuckle. Not overly sweet...I prefer this to the sickly sweet Apis Japwidgeakaeeka (however you spell it), but I couldn’t drink too much of this. thedm (3406), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Dec 30, 2007 This bottled mead from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of finely sized white colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a and a poor lacing. The aroma was honey. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and strongly tingly at the finish. The thick flavor contained notes of honey and was dry. An OK mead just nothing special. YourDarkLord (1800), Urbana, Illinois, USA Oct 22, 2007 This didn’t make the cut for me. I like meads, preferably sweet ones, but also a few dry ones. This wasn’t pleasant. The expected honey color with no head was there but the aroma was off-putting. Funky in a negative way. Smooth mouthfeel. The flavor was unappealing. Still new to this mead thing - this one aint too bad. Golden-honey color. Aroma is sweet with some honey and light grape. Flavor has a nice honey flavor but leans toward a the white wine side a little too much, as would be expected with a dry mead. Mouthfeel really improves the longer you drink it - nice mead.
