The aroma is intense, with mountain herbs, like the herbs found in any Italian amaro (digestive liquor), Alpine herbs (achillea moscata), and light chamomile. The flavor is medium sweet, actually getting dry at the end, with interesting herbal profile and light spices, not much honey and as said not much sugar. I’m still in favor for the Polish and Danish mead, too dry, but it’s interesting. cheapdark (2046), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 10/20 | Dec 12, 2009 Purfume aroma. Slight green in the clear yellow color. Fruity flavors and is fun otherwise. Fruity again during the session. Winelike finish. Overall, a decent mead experience compared to many others. DrnkMcDermott (1861), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 7, 2009 Rating 1,700! Entered on my 50th birthday! And a new country to boot. Bottle at Bavarian Lodge, Lisle. So why aren’t there more ratings from the Chicago contingent? Sorry if I’m overenthused about this, but this does deliver everything its promised. Still mead with a clear, honey yellow color. Smell of apple wassail and pumpkin pie spice. The taste continues that spiced apple theme, adding cinnamon and bergamont in slippery liquid sunshine. A bit of sour backup just in the middle that makes my eyes roll up a bit. Great dry finish. Get down and try this! blipp (1723), Newark, New Jersey, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 6, 2009 3 oz sample from a bottle. Pours clear gold. The aroma is inviting, with spicy and floral notes. Just a touch of booze. Sweet notes of honey are balanced by lingering spice notes and fresh flowers. I haven’t had many meads, but this one is nice. nick76 (2684), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Dec 7, 2008 The aroma has funky honey and yeast with herbs, spices, and flowers. The appearance is golden with no head. The flavor is like the aroma but somehow has nothing redeeming. The palate is thin. Overall its bad. Palidor19 (1791), Brandon, Florida, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 4, 2008 cant quite recommend this mead, its has a slight herbal flavor, the spiced are in the initial sip but the tartness of the mead, probably due to the yeast is too overpowering for one to enjoy the suitabilities. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 13, 2008 This was also quite delicious. A bit of an herbal astrigency in the nose, and some heat from the alcohol. not as sweet as some of the others, more off dry and bittersweet, but very nice lignering spices throughout, still quite delightful and great with thai food.
