| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 1, 2009 Bottle: Pours dark gold...nose is big on rich, sweet honey and vanilla bean. Very clean, sweet start with the vanilla showing through, finishes very dry. Decent stuff, I’m not sure I understand the big negativity towards this. patrick767 (2033), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 30, 2009 bottle at Ft Wayne locals tasting - Wow, the ratings vary widely on this one and from the descriptions perhaps the quality of some bottles has varied widely. This one poured a deep gold and has a definite honey aroma. It’s quickly obvious that it’s a straight up honey mead. The other part about the entry here that puzzles me is the commercial description calling it dry. I had a 0% residual sugar mead a few weeks ago and this isn’t even close. I marked it down as semi-sweet. It’s a pleasant honey rich flavor with a medium body and a touch of alcohol in the finish. It’s not complicated by any means, but it’s enjoyable. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Aug 22, 2007 (750ml bottle) Sampled at Ciderwinder 4. Courtesy of Oakes. Amber. Most honey aroma of any mead I’ve sampled. Strange texture across the tongue, strong honey and a waxy residue. Odd finish, 12% not detectable. Oakes (8093), gone rambling, Vietnam
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 20, 2007 Bottle from Belmont Station Deep gold colour. Still. Some legs. The aroma is honeyish and toasty. There’s sort of a stewed pear note to it. Flavour is the same, with the same stewed fruit note and the toast, the latter of which I find rather unpleasant. Ruins the drink for me, really. Tmoney99 (4744), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Light to medium body with a dry texture. Medium honey sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. May expectations were met. tronraner (1916), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 9, 2007 750 mL bottle. Pours clear yellow with very thin legs. The aroma is pretty simple light honey, some alcohol, a sort of sour apple tone, and maybe orange zest. The flavor is very mellow and floral, with some clover and hints of orange blossom. There are some very mild woody hints toward the middle, and a nice smooth dry-out into the finish. Not very complex, but solid and drinkable. Palidor19 (1773), Brandon, Florida, USA
