| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Nov 3, 2008 The aroma has toasted bread, nuts, hops, and caramel malt. The appearance is brown with an average head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thin. Overall a great beer for this brewer. heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 30, 2008 Bottled. Deep brown and garnet colored body with a light tan head. The aroma has caramel and some nasty iced tea. There is also some light hints of fall leaves. The taste has some light iced tea and a little bit of baking chocolate. I would like a little bit of sweetness to balance out that dry character. A decent beer, but really boring. westexans (10), Converse, Texas, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 5/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Oct 28, 2008 Aroma is non descript, nothing stands out. Has a good color for a brown. Flavor is pedestrian again nothing really grabs you. Overall pretty normal. ansermadide (521), Kyle, Texas, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Oct 23, 2008 (12oz bottle acquired from Union Station, Washington, DC on October 23, 2008) Although it had a full and frothy head, it didn’t keep long at all. Heavy fizz on the sides of the glass, much like a soda. Pretty clear and syrupy amber-brown color. Aroma is light, but definitely of the brown persuasion. Flavor is very... light and fizzy on the tongue. Definite caramel sugars with very light hops. Not hefty at all. A bit sour. But no aftertaste... nothing to remind you after you take a sip that you’re drinking a beer. Altogether, alright for an ’’I need a beer...’’ reach. Cruzan59 (197), Lititz, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 12/20 | Oct 8, 2008 Bottle at The Chameleon Club, Lancaster, PA...I opted not to pour it into a plastic cup so I can’t provide an accurate visual...aroma was somewhat roasty, malts, hint of chocolate...flavor included the same with some caramel, brown sugar...pretty thin though...not a bad having-a-few bar beer, but not a good sit-at-home-slow-drink-and-enjoy beer. doubelknv3 (568), Illinois, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 1, 2008 Dark Brown-Red with frothy tan head. Head quickly disappeard, but lacing. Malt dominated aroma with notes of mild caramel, mild nuts, and earth. Sweet malt and mild caramel start, but sour, bitterness overtakes. The appearance, aroma, and intial flavour started this beer in the right direction, but the weak flavour qualities, and off-balanced bitterness dissapoints. mephisto (1144), Taiwan
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 9/20 | Sep 21, 2008 pours deep brown with copper hue, it is topped with foamy beige head. the aroma is caramel and chocolate with hint of prune, unfortunately the balance is a bit off and the flavor is an uneven mix of nut and bitterness. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 19, 2008 Pours a dark brown with a frothy tan/off white head. The aroma is mostly malty. Aromas of caramal, nut, touch of spice and a touch of hops. Flavors of roasty nut, hops, little caramel and ends on a bitter but slighy metallic note. The flavors here are not that big and it comes off as a little watery. Its not bad but would not buy again.
