Pours copper with a tan head. Smells fruity and caramelly. Tastes of caramel, some earthy hints, some light fruit.

Bottle from Grocery Outlet in Woodland, CA. Brilliant copper color with a thick off-white head. Aroma is a bit bready; mild grassy hop. Near full bodied with creamy frothy carbonation. Flavor is bready, somewhat hoppy, finishing rather astringent. Not all that exciting, but a very drinkable beer.

Draft at Beer Bourbon and BBQ Festival in Richmond VA on 5-30-09. Amber pour. Mostly grainy aroma with caramel, sweet malt and some grassy notes. Taste is chewy malt, sourdough bread, grassy notes, caramel, and light hops. Body is medium with crisp carbonation. Ends with more caramel, sweet malt, grassy notes, light fruit and light hops.

Nice dark amber pour with a really nice velvetty head. The aroma is somewhat toasty, with some caramel and faint chocolate. The flavor is toasty, roasty with a soft sweetness. Hops are light, but noticeable enough to create bitterness and crispness.

12 ounce bottle from a sampler. Pours a copper color with a large head, moderate retention and nice lacing. Not much going on in the aroma department, but there are some caramel malt notes. Big caramel malt taste with some other grainy notes and some slightly bitter hop notes. Slightly sticky and medium bodied.

(bottle - 12 oz) Dark amber color with a very thin cream colored head. Aroma is sweet and malty with some hints of caramel and raisins. Flavor is lightly roasted malts mixed with some dark fruits and caramel. Lightly toasted on the end with a very lightly bitter finish.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of a trade with dkachur. Pours a clear amber with a moderate off-white head that lasted through three-quarters of the glass and left partial lace. Very mild aroma of caramel and not much else. The flavor is very similar with light caramel and very little else. Only slightly bitter at the finish. Thin bodied with a watery mouthfeel. This beer can be summarized in one word, weak.

Brassy color with a fluffy head that quickly flattens. Notes of musty hops, malt, nut, and caramel wiggle their way to the nose. Medium-bodied and characterized by an enjoyable medly of malts that endow it with moderate complexity. Toasty, nutty, and some maltiness round out the flavors.
