Commercial Description:
A crisp, clean American Ale. Perfect for extinguishing your fiery thirst or when you crave an ice-cold beer. A great step up in flavor from the lighter style American and imported beers.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle with no lot code or expiration date. It pours clear and golden with a half finger of white foamy head that lingers for several minutes but finally dissipates. Aromatic gassy and slightly hoppy tone. Pretty good mouthfeel with a flavor that is more malted than wheaty like other blondes. A halfway decent experience.

Tastes kind of salty and wheaty, but crisp and clean. I imagine it would be a good thirst quencher ice cold, as the description states.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a pint glass. Appearance: The body has a very clear appearance with some visible carbonation and a bright golden color. Its head is light and sudsy, bright white in color and fades out quickly leaving no lacing at all. Smell: Its aroma is mild and brings only a light hint of grain with very mild hops in the background. Taste/Mouth feel: A simple but nice light grain flavor and a very mild wheat twang mixes with a good balance of bitterness from hops. The body is fairly light and highly drinkable with a thin texture and average carbonation. Notes: Its overall appearance is a bit dull and its flavor was simple and light making it a nice summer time beer.

Pours a translucent amber with a modest white-colored head. It has hints of roasted malt and contains flavors of malt, grain, and a faint touch of hops. Has a light body and is very drinkable

Pours a beautiful golden color with a thin white head and lots of tiny cascading bubbles. Nose is faintly of malt . Creamy on the palate. Light malt flavor with a nice dry aftertaste. For the style, this is a good ale but not exemplary. Fine companion to most light fare including barbequed chicken, salmon or nuts.

I recently tried this at a festival in Baltimore. Nice golden color...moderate head.....smooth flavor and finish, a little light on the flavor for my taste, but overall, not a bad beer

12oz. Bottle: Aroma of grains, pale malts, and light caramel. Poured gold/yellow/light amber in color with a small white head that lasted around the edges. Clear. Slightly sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of grains, pale malts, and caramel. Light body. Thin, chalky texture. Average carbonation. Slightly sweet, grainy finish is a bit dry and a bit sticky.

Drinking from a 12 oz. botttle of Hook & Ladder Golden Ale: This has a clear golden body with a creamy head and laces in spots. It has a sweet pale malt aroma with perhaps a dollop of honey. Sadly,it’s thin an watery with very little flavor - sweet light malt, corn flakes, and a suggestion of grass. Not very interesting.
