| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Nov 8, 2009 Darker yellow color. Thin, watery head. Icy lace sticks to the glass like cold weather on a window.
The smell is a lighter, golden ale/lager aroma. It’s like a lighter, weaker pub ale smell. Nothing unpleasant, just a bit wimpy.
The taste is an English light ale, along the lines of a Bass. Has a decent sweetish malt that is bready but with a dollop of molasses. It leaves a bit of an aftertaste.
The feel is watery and leaves a minor bitter film. Underwhelming on the palate; a light lagery film at the end. All told, it’s an okay beer. Not overwhelmingly awesome, but drinkable I suppose. hotstuff (3176), Indiana, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 31, 2009 Bottle. Pours a medium sized frothy white head with poor retention, transparent gold body, sparse amount of lacing, and carbonation observed. The aroma is malt and corn. The flavor is lightly bitter, malty, corn, crisp, clean, and a semi-dry finish. The mouthfeel is tingly and this is a medium bodied beer. Overall, this is easy to drink but is rather bland tasting and easily forgettable. rocbyter (923), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA
