Aroma of roasted caramel. Flavor is thinnish. There is a roasted caramel that builds along with some hop bitter. Very smooth. Perhaps a touch of vanilla. Rather astringent. I’d take it over any number of macros. Came in a 12 pack for 7.99, so the price was reasonable. After several quaffs I’m ready to take back the thinnish comment. It’s an inexpensive rather tasty little ale. beerbill (1977), Laurel, New York, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 27, 2008 12 oz. bottle courtesy of a trade with dkachur. Pours a crystal clear amber with a moderate off-white head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left a few patches of lace. The aroma is virtually non-existent. Perhaps there is some faint malt present, but then again perhaps not. The flavor is weak malt with some very mild hops bitterness at the finish. Choose whatever synonym you would like, this beer is dull and utterly uninteresting. ARMed (488), Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 24, 2008 Spectacularly looking copper bronze clear brew with a nice head and lacing, but it goes down hill from there. The beer is extremely malty and sugary. It has a molasses base with a caramel finish. If you like a sweet brew then this one is one to try. nuplastikk (1252), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 10, 2008 12oz bottle. Brown amber color. Minimally carbonated, with a sweet doughy aroma. Some mild hop crispness, but overall the creamy maltiness dominates. Medium bodied and drinkable, but a little plain in my opinion. Caramel and amber malt shines through. A good beer, just not my favorite style. BillWyce (95), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 5, 2008 Part of a sampler pack. Pours coppery brown. Aroma of malt and some nuttiness. Slightly oily mouthfeel. Flavor of nutty roasted maly with a very slight hop bite at the end. Average but easy-drinking. bigrond (1055), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 1, 2008 This was my favorite of the sampler pack I had. It was dry like it promised and had a little bit of charatcher to it. It was the first to go down the hatch. Very nice easy drinking beer. dkachur (2431), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
